Gwich’in Steering Committee
The mission of the Gwich’in Steering Committee is to ensure the long-term health and viability of the Porcupine Caribou Herd that sustains the Gwich’in way of life. We are dedicated to protecting the entire ecosystem of the caribou so that we as Gwich’in people have a future in our homeland.

Support for the Protection of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, Coastal Plain, the Porcupine Caribou Herd, and the Gwich'in Way of Life
The Gwich'in Steering Committee educates the world about the human rights issue with protecting the porcupine caribou herd, the arctic refuge-coastal plain, and the Gwich'in way of life. We will be traveling to seven different states to get resolutions and tribal support.
