GGJ is an alliance of US-based grassroots organizing groups building power for working and poor people and communities of color.

GGJ focuses on bringing grassroots organizations into a long-term process of relationship building, political alignment, and transformational leadership development, particularly for working and poor women and gender-oppressed people of color.

Feminist Organizing School for Funders (FOS for Funders)
During the FOS for Funders, the group will delve into the theoretical and historical intersections of patriarchy, homophobia, transphobia, white supremacy, capitalism, and climate change; explore a vision of a feminist future, including development of a feminist economy; and will support each other in the task of bringing a feminist approach to our daily work within progressive philanthropy.

It Takes Roots Solidarity to Solutions (Sol2Sol)
It Takes Roots will convene the Solidarity to Solutions Week (parallel to the Global Climate Action Summit convened by California Governor Jerry Brown) to spotlight frontline community solutions to the interlinked crises of climate, economy, and democracy. Frontline community leaders from around the world will share and discuss place-based solutions that make the systemic connections among climate disaster survival, decarbonizing our energy systems outside of a market system, and other critical strategies for tackling the root causes of our global crises— such as Indigenous land rights, food sovereignty, zero waste, public transportation, ecosystem restoration, universal healthcare, worker rights, housing rights, racial and gender justice, as well as economic relocalization.
