Momentum is a training institute and movement incubator, dedicated to supporting progressive civil resistance movements in the United States.
We are committed to teaching and learning the craft of popular movements fighting for justice. We give grassroots organizers the tools to build massive, decentralized social movements that aim to shift the terrain under policymakers’ feet.

Momentum Community of Practice
The expansion of the Community of Practice will include advanced trainings and skillshares, as well as a full-fledged incubation program. These programs will give practitioners the “brass tacks” to put movement-building into practice across various organizational models.

Momentum Trainings
In 2017, we hosted trainings that provided an advanced analysis of the dynamics of civil resistance and support participants to leave with actionable plans to enhance their work. Participants in our trainings will join our "community of practice", through which they will continue to share best practices and develop new movement theory based on their real-world experiments. We will also produce new digital content to make important insights and practical tools available to thousands more people.
