Water Protector Legal Collective (WPLC) is the on-the-ground legal team for the Dakota Access Pipeline resistance at Standing Rock. The organization continues to maintain a presence in North Dakota and provide legal advocacy, jail and court support, criminal defense, and civil and human rights protection to the Native peoples and their allies who gathered at the ceremonial resistance camps.

While our current work remains far from over, WPLC is taking steps towards a future beyond Standing Rock – continuing to provide movement legal support in other contexts when our work in North Dakota winds down.
